We have been breeding quality English Labradors for 34 years and we breed for quality, good looks as well as good temperament, trainability and health, not because we have two dogs of opposite sex… good breeding are seldom convenient that way. We breed each litter with our future in mind. We don’t just throw two dogs together because we have a male and a female to make puppies to sell to the public. We research pedigrees, x-ray parents, do DNA genetic testing and occasionally fly semen in from other states to help create our future generation.
We are NY State Licensed and Inspected by NYS and AKC. We have produced many generations of service dogs, family dogs, and we also have produced both show dogs and hunting dogs. We have all ages available and their cost is directly related to their importance to our future breeding plans.
We occasionally have puppies available. We may also have retired dogs and older puppies that we have decided not to breed. We stop breeding our girls at 6 years old. Our feeling is that they should have a life after puppies and if they haven’t produced a good representative/replacement for our next generation by six they probably won’t. Our older puppies and adults are usually placed rather quickly. If you are interested in an adult we can send up more information on who is available. These dogs are healthy and sweet.
We will only place them as pets in a forever home.
We do have all ages available, but a dog or puppy that we are hoping to breed or to keep in our breeding program is priced much higher than an eight week old puppy available as a pet.
Puppies must be 8 weeks old to leave Humehill per NY State Law. Prior to leaving Humehill our puppies visit our Veterinarian for a health check-up, they are on a deworming program and will have received their 1st vaccine and a microchip. We do require a deposit to reserve puppy. Puppies are chosen by their new families in the order that we have receive deposits. The deposit does go toward the purchase cost of the puppy. If you would like to reserve a Humehill puppy we will gladly send you a deposit contract and our questionnaire, which helps us guide you to a litter or puppy that is closest to your ideal.
We require that you have an appointment to visit, because we both work full time jobs to support our dog habit and we have volunteer and family commitments. We are not a pet shop with “open” hours and we do not give tours. This is our home and our dogs’ home. Please do not contact us if you are a pet broker or pet shop, we DO NOT wholesale or place our dogs/puppies for resale. If you have any other questions please contact us. By phone or email. Our phone number is (585) 493-2135.
Thank you for your interest in our puppies,
Pam - Humehill Labradors
About Humehill Jr.
